The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been released, and it’s a big step forward in foldable phone technology. This device is surprisingly thin and light, feeling more like a traditional smartphone than previous models.
Design and Display
The Z Fold 7’s design is a major highlight. It weighs just 217 grams, which is even lighter than the S25 Ultra, and its build features durable Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front and Victus 2 on the back. The front cover screen has been updated to a 6.5-inch display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, making it easier to use one-handed. When unfolded, the main display is an 8-inch, almost-square screen. Both displays are LTPO with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2600 nits, ensuring a smooth and vibrant viewing experience.
Camera and Performance
The camera system has received a significant upgrade. It includes a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens. This setup delivers a noticeable improvement in photo quality compared to its predecessor.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It runs on One UI 8, based on Android 16, and the performance is described as fast and well-optimized.
Battery and Charging
The device is equipped with a 4400mAh battery that can last a full day for the average user. It supports 25W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is priced at ₹174999 in India. Pre-orders placed before July 12 or 13 offer additional benefits worth ₹12000. It is available in three color options: blue silver and jet black. An exclusive mint color is also available online.
